The Central Pennsylvania Shortlines RPM seeks a volunteer to manage model railroad layout tours.
The person in this position must have a knowledge of layouts within 45 miles or so of Mount Union, Pa., and with an outgoing personality with which to solicit open houses for Saturday evening of the CPS RPM. Ideally the layouts would feature the shortlines within scope of the CPS RPM but they could also be Pennsylvania Railroad (with which all of these shortlines interchanged).
Upon arranging an open house, this person would forward the address, layout description, times, and contact information to the CPS RPM webmaster.
An RPM meet is only as good as its volunteers. If you think you have what it takes to succeed at this position, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Thank you.
The CPS RPM is seeking clinicians for the 2023 event.
If you can provide a 45-60 minute presentation on one of our shortlines listed on the web site, we'd love to hear from you. The talk can be about the prototype, how to model it, or a little of both!
Jerry Britton and Matthew Hurst are pleased to announce the Central Pennsylvania Shortlines Railroad Prototype Modelers meet (CPS RPM) to be held on July 14-16, 2023 in Mount Union, Pa. The Bricktown Museum will host and co-sponsor this year’s event.
A Railroad Prototype Modelers meet brings together like-minded people to discuss prototype railroads and the scale modeling of those railroads. The CPS RPM focuses on the many shortlines in the central Pennsylvania area, notably the Bellefonte Central, East Broad Top, Huntingdon & Broad Top Mountain, and the Kishacoquillas Valley.
The CPS RPM team have created a FaceBook group for the event.
Please check it out and join at https://www.facebook.com/groups/cpsrpm.
